Who we are, and who we are not

Swishadelphia is an independent basketball media and software project. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the National Basketball Association, the Philadelphia 76ers, or any other team, league or player. Team names, statistics and other league information are used for identification, reporting and commentary.

Your account

Most of the site is readable without an account. To post, save work, or use the community features you need one. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for everything done through your account. Give accurate information when you sign up, and don’t impersonate anyone else or create an account on someone else’s behalf without permission.

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaks these terms, and we’ll tell you why where we reasonably can.

What you post

You keep ownership of everything you post — trades, scouting reports, comments and anything else. By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display and distribute that content on and in connection with the site, including quoting it in our own coverage with attribution. This licence ends when you delete the content, except for copies already made in the ordinary course (backups, and anything others have quoted or shared).

You are responsible for what you post. Do not post anything that:

• infringes someone else’s copyright, trademark or other rights;
• harasses, threatens, or targets anyone, including on the basis of a protected characteristic;
• is illegal, or encourages anything illegal;
• is spam, an advertisement, or an attempt to manipulate the site;
• contains malware, or attempts to breach the security of the site or its users;
• impersonates another person, team, or organisation.

We may remove content or restrict accounts that break these rules. We are not obliged to monitor content, and we do not endorse anything users post.

Our content

Our articles, analysis, design, code and branding belong to us and are protected by copyright. You may read, link to and quote reasonable excerpts with attribution. You may not republish substantial portions, scrape the site at scale, resell our data, or use our material to train a machine learning model, without written permission.

Acceptable use

Don’t interfere with the site: no attempts to gain unauthorised access, no automated traffic that degrades the service for others, no circumventing rate limits or access controls, and no probing for vulnerabilities without contacting us first. If you find a security issue, please tell us at support@tankadelphia.com before disclosing it publicly.

Statistics, tools and accuracy

Statistics, salary figures, contract details, draft information and trade calculations are compiled from public sources and third-party providers. They may be incomplete, delayed or wrong. Our tools — including the Trade Lab’s collective bargaining agreement rules — are our own interpretation, built for analysis and entertainment. Nothing on this site is financial, legal, betting or professional advice, and it is not an official source for any league rule or transaction. Verify anything that matters against an authoritative source.

The site is provided as is

The site is free and provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or accuracy. We do not promise the site will be available, uninterrupted, or error-free, and we may change or discontinue any part of it — this is an early-stage product under active development.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for any loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of the site. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Third-party links

The site links to other websites and services we don’t control. We’re not responsible for their content or their practices, and their own terms and privacy policies apply when you visit them.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the site changes. The date at the top shows when they were last revised, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms. If a change is significant, we will say so on the site.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws rules, and the courts located in Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania will have jurisdiction over any dispute — except where the law of your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
